The fastest way for me is to create a text box with desired text in MS
Publisher, create another text box or shape, fill it with colour and use
this second box to cover up parts of the text. Publisher has the option to
save the combined boxes as png. Once the pic has been saved it's easy to
move the colour box or shape around in Publisher and save the next png.
