If you want to achieve this, you can e.g. manually copy the directory with pictures into the default.db_media folder.

If you want to have a different card which uses the same media, just point the file dialog to the file inside the media directory when you do 'Insert picture'.

Hope this helps,

Peter

Let me first say thank you so much for this software. I loved 1.x, and
I'm quickly falling for 2 as well.

My one bone to pick is this:

I am using Mnemosyne as a Rosetta Stone-like vocabulary supplement, with
pictures and audio. I'm studying multiple languages. Each of these all
use their own audio files, but the same pictures. (I.e. French word
"cheval" or German "Pferd" is displayed, with French or German
soundbite, but there is only one picture of a horse, because "chevaux"
and "Pferde" are the same thing.) What I would like is to be able to set
my own filepaths for media, so I could have only one pictures folder
instead of a copy of the same set of images for each language. This is
especially important when I use a flash drive, as I need to save all the
space I can get. This would also reduce clutter, as my organizing habits
don't like pictures and audio in the same folder.

Is this possible? In the mean time, my portable version is only text,
but I'd like for this option.
