Subject: Re: [mnemosyne-proj-users] MAC: All Data Lost When Upgrading to El
Capitan...

Hi Peter,

Thank you so much for you response!
Yes you are correct, I have only updated my Mac and not Mnemosyne ( I am scared
of touching the application for fear of making the situation worse).

Any help from the Mac expert would be wonderful!

I would love to be back studying as soon as possible :) Mnemosyne is awesome
and I have been using it for the past 8 years. Thus this data is priceless for
me :)

Thanks!

Hi,

Just to make sure, you upgraded the OS and not Mnemosyne, right?

Your data is probably still there, but Mnemosyne can no longer find it.
Mnemosyne looks for its data in ~/Library/Mnemosyne by default. Did anything
happen to that directory, or did the OS upgrade somehow move the user directory
to a different location? Or have you used the '-d <directory name>' command
line option to select a custom data directory?

I also put our Mac packager in CC, perhaps he has more insight.

Cheers,

Peter
