I'm taking a few days 'off' of mod_dtcl to write an interface to
gdk-pixbuf. It probably won't be useful in the short term, as it
depends on the latest gdk-pixbuf from CVS, which is associated with
gtk, which is still beta-ish in CVS...

But it's pretty cool - it loads and saves a variety of formats, and
does some basic transformations. It also gives you access to the
pixels, so you can do all kinds of stuff with them.*

I don't know if it's as good at gdtclft for things like labeled
buttons, but I'm getting frustrated with the licensing on gdtclft
:it's free, but distributed with the non-free graphviz, which makes it
a pain in the ass. I know, as I package it for Debian GNU/Linux...

*idea to demonstrate this:

write mod_dtcl page which takes url of image as input, uses
tcl-gdk-pixbuf to transform/pixelate pixels to colored cells of table,
creating wacky pixelated image on the fly.
