i've been talking about some bands in the iowa city area and then someone
pointed out that there is no way for them to hear songs if they don't live
there, are broke, etc... well, mp3s for some of the local bands can be
found at <www.avalon.net/~protein>. i don't know if any of them are songs
in their entirety, but there are a number of them there.
also, is there anyone in this list who would be willing to make me a tape
of music from other countries. especially local bands. i think that
would help me get a specialty show here. we only play what comes to the
statio or what people request that we purchase, everything else gets
ignored. i want to have loads of stuff that no one else has heard. the
station isn't nearly as "alternative" as they claim to be. i heard red
hot chili peppers on there one day-and no offense to anyone who likes
them-but that's not very alternative.
