is it just me or is everyone simply engaging in this list to debate the merits of being "indie" and to do about those who are not.....? this is where i'm confused, did we like matador bands while they were with atlantic or no? same w/ the subpop? i know how i feel, but it seems like some others have an anti-indie agenda to preach about!! think about it , most here like the built to spill, how about the stereolab??? everyone seemed to like the flaming lips, indie , i think not.... although zaireeka is a giant mindf*ck in the face of the corporate oppressor. what did they sell, 25 of those? i gots mine at 1/2 off... i say screw the man, spread yr support throughout yr own community and go from there. when the new MM record comes out , search for used or promo... the mouse already will have been paid, they probably are not getting paid for "moving units" . its a flat fee.... meantime, keep indie at heart and whatever.......i lost my train o' thought.... thanks m.a.t.t
