i don't think we've been around long enough and had enough interest in
literature as an art to even acknowledge the so-called "great" writers.
we don't really have anything timeless because our country isn't based on
tradition and timelessness.  always moving onto the next thing.  but what
about kurt vonnegut.  he may not be timeless, but he's original is he not?
