But there are a *lot* of people working behind the scenes to make TPC
work, and most of the ORA conference staff are on the west coast.

Would you be willing to pay $100 or $200 additional to bring those
same people out to the east coast, and use more expensive facilities
(in general) than ORA gets in Monterey?  People already complain about
the cost of TPC.  I *know* that ORA is not raking in any dough from
the conference.
