No point worrying about things you used to like - I'd never go out of
the house if I let things like that bother me... Some nice picks below,
though.

Yes, I think it is

You can't really go wrong with Brenda Holloway though, can you? Don't
recall ever hearing a track by her bad enough to be called average, and
most are excellent - I'll Be Available is a bit of a favourite.
> The Isleys - Why When Love Is Gone
Excellent track, there seem to be an astonishing number of mostly
overlooked Isleys tracks from their time at Motown - there were two LP's
of almost entirely previously unreleased material in the 70's, and more
has been trickling out ever since. Underplayed on the Northern scene,
too, as most of it is very easily available.
My current picks would be very Chess family based, as I've been putting
together a compilation for a friend by way of trying out my new CD
writer, Vashonettes - He's A Mighty Good Lover and Mitty Collier - Pain
both feature highly.
btw. Matt, was there meant to be something added on to that comment of
mine on the Record Collector article from last year? It just showed up
again here with nothing added that I could see.
Cheers,
Ed...
