WELL!! The reason I suppose they can't dance down there is because the
dancefloor is a bit sandpaperish.(and this fool forgot to take some talc!
GASP!) However, the music was pretty good. There was even a spin of Johnny
Nash's Love Ain't Nothing (Dorian's request I might add! Perhaps you do have
a decent taste in music after all! ;) ) Usual stuff, then some Who!! Oh
heck, the Who... This was the time in the evevning when all the jam shoe
attired people started to jump up and down and scream to other obvious mod
classics like Dave Davis et al's version of Louie Louie. There were quite a
few YOUNG revival mods and a bloke in a sky blue blouse. Oh and a young man
who seemed to have consumed 14gms of speed, wide eyed and bushy tailed.
Dorian took quite a liking to him, didn't ya kid?!

Well, don't blame us. Just because you can't organise a weekend like us lads
did! There were quite a few ladies down there from Leeds, the twins and Mr
Cox's other 'alf. It would have been an even better Leeds turn out if Mr
Lawton hadn't been so hard done by British rail. But a great time had by
all....

Yeah, after Dave and Ruth left us, Me, Christian, Chris, Ju and the
aforementioned loving couple decided that the weekend shouldn't stop with a
visit to Carnaby St. So we decided to go shopping whence forth we arrived
upon a flyer for an allnight horrorfest at the Cornerhouse. It went on from
10:30pm till 8am. 12 for 5 films including the 60's issue of Night Of The
Living Dead, and Texas Chain Store Mascara. Leaving us at 9am, Julian
Garrett fell out of the running and went to bed.
After attending this, we saw that 'the Divine David' was hosting a
film quiz at 1:30 pm. Getting little sleep and holding them up while I
attended to my hair, we all hot footed it down to the Cornerhouse bar where
we partook in what must have been the most obscure film quiz ever. Needless
to say, Chris knew everything, blinding us with his uncanny ability to name
every b-movie star from the beginning of time, my only contribution being
able to offer the band who did the soundtrack to 'Sweet SweetBack's Baadass
Song', everybody thought it was Van Peebles. (we all know it was Earth Wind
And Fire!)
Still not content with the weekend fully, we bided our time as our
host was again playing in the Temple Of Convenience. The Divine David
treated to lines like, 'Yes, I can come out and wear make-up and then I can
come over to this table (approaching us) and I can mingle and I too can be
one of The Monkees!'
When we left he begged us not to go. Us 60's kids had rather endeared him.
And so, with a lengthy train ride back to Leeds, Chris and Myself
arrived at nearly 1am to part our seperate ways and get some well earned
sleep!

        >Dominic mentioned the psych kids - well, i know think you have met
>Chris and Cristain...was Tom there too Matt?

No, he wasn't. I thought your man might have been coming out. Pity, he
would've loved laughing at Ju making the whole row of seats move when he
jumped at the Texas Chain saw Massacre! I know I did.

        Well,
I have no money now, but well worth it!
                 Matt.....
