Hello, One of the things I miss about Manchester is "Smile" on New Years Eve, no rip off prices (door or bar), good late bar and a good atmos. Not a strictly Mod night, but very good nonetheless. Anyone know if there`s a Millenium Smile ? Mark wrote... "Maybe playing records at Le Bateau with a short stint down at The Pier Head photographing Stereophonics, Fatboy Slim etc at Cream. Again, big events like Cream and Gatecrasher just aren't selling either." We are selling Gatecrasher tickets at our store in Sheffield and they`re flying out. Granted they need to sell a lot (to pay the cost of the DJ`s helicopters), but I think they`ll get near capacity. Dominic wrote... "All NYE are normally shite anyway, too much overblown expectation and ripoffs on the go" Agreed. Why spend the Millenium in a vast impersonal event, and pay heavily for it. Better to be with friends (family if you`re like that) and save the cash to buy things you really want. I`m off to a private party with friends in London, we don`t need Paul Oakenfold. Then again, who does ? Oh yes, one last thing......anyone got a spare copy of the Phil Spector Xmas Album, it`s currently deleted and a friend of mine has tried everywhere !
