Well I'm listening to that track now, by the Temptations.
It has orchestration and more vocal range than the Action version -
definately better than the Action version(-but reggie King would probably
agree with that), but the Action's song stopped me in my tracks when I first
heard it, one wintery day back in '82 - and still does.
Both fine version - what's the problem?
Since I lost my baby - by The Temps is on the Tamla ep - "It's The
Temptations" (TME 2010) and was released in '65.
Since I lost... is confusingly prefaced by the track "My Baby", and on the
other side is "It's Growing"/"The Way You Do The Things You Do"
The latter of which is pure house party music(Donnie Elbert did great cover
of it, a few years later!) - and has a storming Junior Walker-style sax
break!
I've been after this ep for years - and in the end, came across it purely by
chance, when the breadknife's mother gave it to us!
