Hi,

    Just a thought.  One of our intranets uses mod_ssl, and I got a
speed complaint from a user.  Apparently, after seeing the way NS 4.5
loads pages, it doesn't cache SSL pages, which is a good default policy
(IMO).

    But, in our case, we'd like that (only the network in-between is
considered insecure) caching to happen.  I've found the setting in IE
4.x, but NS is what's deployed on most user's systems.

    If someone can point me to a registry (Win XX) or prefs.js setting
that will allow persistent caching (why'd they remove this option from
Edit, Preferences anyway !@$* ???) I'd be most appreciative.
