ROTFL... good luck, but keep in mind that even the commercial Apache SSL
solutions are mod_ssl based and that neither mod_ssl nor Apache is "GNU
software" ;) BTW, your problems seem to be related to the fact that you used
pre-compiled binaries. Why didn't you started with the source? The
installation is well documented and an initial SSL aware Apache this way can
be established in 15 minutes without initial knowledge, doubt me.
