Hrmm.. you mean like gcc, bison, flex, autoconf, automake, et al.?

GNU software functions just fine, thankyouverymuch. (and it works even
better when people contribute patches or documentation rather than
simply whining "It Doesn't Work!")  

With so many people using GNU software (including mod_ssl and OpenSSL)
successfully, it seems to me to be quite short sighted (and
ill-informed/under-educated) for you to make such a posting with a
statment as included in your original above.

Live long and pay large sums of money...
