ok, I admit it... I "hacked" his site... and put up the default apache
page and left him a private note daring him to replace the page with a
real page via an index.html file and said that I would continue to link
off his page and use it to promote my cults until he paid me "100
billion dollars" or got a clue, which ever came first.

ps: ok, maybe not.  Did I ever tell ya 'bout the AOL user who called me
demanding that I give him the ID of a user who sent him mail and when I
said the mail didn't come from my site but came in through the internet,
he demanded that I give him the 800 number for the internet -- as
everyone can be traced and he was gonna get some attorney general on
some guy's case.  If it wasn't so cruel and a waste of resources,
sometimes there's gold in them hills!
