Hi,

The -DSSL just sets the SSL variable for use in the apache configuration
file.  If you don't want to define it to start an SSL enabled server, take
out the <IfDefine SSL> and </IfDefine> tags from your configuration file. 
Your server will now always start listening and serving SSL requests.
