I'm also a novice, so please double check everything, or do a backup of
your conf dir.
I think all you have to do is replace the ssl.crl ssl.crt ccl.csr ssl.key
and ssl.prm files. Then restart your server. (I assume both are the same type,
if not, you have to check httpd.conf, and change the SSL related lines;
comment out the other type, and uncomment the other).
