Sorry, to hear that. At least on our server, once I did this our Mac
customers are able to connect fine to our SSL server. Before, they would get
various IO Errors or connect but after a few minutes can not proceed to any
other SSL pages.
I have a Mac G3 and 8500 running IE 4.5 and 5.0 and both work fine now that
I applied the new updates. You can also checkout our site using SSL at
https://www.wppi.com and see if you get a problem.
What is your site (SSL URL)? I'll give it a try using IE on my macs and let
you know if I also get this error.

That's my current server setup unfortunately..

Didn't help.
Read a couple of notes on deja.com in the meantime where there was a lot
of complaining going on about this being a know problem and that you might
get around it by downloading the ca.crt and manually installing it by
dragging it to the IE icon. Sounds pretty lame though.
