Aha! I think we're closing in on the problem. I believe the section in
perlnewmod to which you are referring reads as follows:
"If you want it connected to the rest of the CPAN, you'll need to tell the
modules list about it. The best way to do this is to email them a line in
the style of the modules list, like this:
Net::Acme bdpO Interface to Acme Frobnicator servers FOOBAR"
I read that (as well as the docs to which Stan and Rodent referred) and sent
an e-mail in the proper style on 6/10/02 ... but I sent it to *this* list
([EMAIL PROTECTED]). Should I in fact have sent it to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ? Will this in fact guarantee that a module becomes a
"Registered Module" and not just a "Release"?
If so, then perhaps perlnewmod could be revised to be more explicit.
