Right. There are too many 5-star distros that have been rated such by the author and maybe one other person, and too many 3-star distros that are actually solid but maybe have a bad interface (due to having been around since 1999) or whatever. You could start looking at number of ratings, and maybe who the ratings were from, and so on, but then you're just reinventing a web of trust on top of a system never intended to support it. hdp.
