* This is the modus mailing list * I had to upgrade from a 2500 to a 2600 hundred series with integral CSU because my 2500 series could no longer deal with the packets I was getting. It never cause my smartjack to yellow out however. I have had blinking like you are talkin about when my cables were tripped on between the csu and the router and they were pulled slightly out.

MCI/Verizon provide the circuit and they say the line is clean. We use a Cisco 2501 and Kentrex D-Serv CSU/DSU. We're getting dropped packets and on the CSU/DSU the "Far end" light occasionally blinks yellow at the same time as the T1 "green" light goes off. MCI tech suspects the router or the cable between the Kentrex and the Cisco. I doubt it's the cable and I've power cycled everything and reseated the cables. When MCI loops to the smart jack or the Kentrex they get a clean circuit (tested each for twenty minutes), but when they go to the router they get packet loss. Time for a new router (purchased in 1996)? Any other things to try? If you've got some ideas, please reply off-list. Thanks!
