I had a chat with Michael, and it turns out the WL / BL stuff is stored in the SieveData.MDB file. This in turn poses major problems for those that want to cluster servers together. The issue is that whilst one server has the whitelist information the other doesn't. Therefore, I have decided to stop looking at Modus Web Mail and instead try yet again to build my own. This time round I will also look at building my own implementation off Modus Web Admin, although I might just inherit from Vircom's version. My idea is to create a separate Modus Admin Web Service which can be placed on all servers in the cluster, and have a single master server running the web client. This client uses the web services when any changes are made, thereby having access to local COM Objects. I have asked Michael to consider moving the SieveData.MDB to an SQL Database so that multiple servers can access this data store, which would allow clustering. If anyone wants to work on this project with me let me know, as I'm starting on it in a couple of hours. I'll also be looking for Beta testers at some point.
