I thought it might do that, so I renamed the original one in the update directory to Report2old.xls and saved an edited copy in its place.

The path listed in "XSL Body Template:" is:

D:\Program Files\Vircom\modusGate\ReportingTemplates\Reporting2.xsl

The file at that location is most definitely NOT the one being used by ModusGate.
Is there a setting anywhere else which needs to be reset as well?

Or is this another one of those glitches that only happen on my systems? :)

Thanks,

Lapo

Nope, but I believe the one it uses by default is named the same thing but
it is in an "update" directory inside the ReportingTemplates directory.

Sorry for being obtuse, but how does this relate to the Quarantine
Template not changing?
I did locate the webmailsrv.ini and did see a few "weird" IPs which it
should not have. HOwever, given that I'm dealing with ModusGate, there
really is no WebMail feature, so it shouldn't have any effect.

The reporting feature does work. The only problem is that no matter
what I do, the changes I make to the Reports.xls template are not
showing up on the reports that are sent out.
I've now gone as far as rebooting the server, after having replaced the
old Reports2.xls with a new one. (Meaning the template Modus is
currently using is no longer on the system).
Still no change. The default template is _Still_ being used (somehow).

Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks for any suggestions.

lapo,

I just went through this today.. look at your webmailsrv.ini file and
ensure that the ip address in the default settings is equal to the ip
address of the server, the upgrade resets its to 127.0.0.1

I changed mine and it worked fine after that..

I'm trying to edit the Quarantine report template on ModusGate 3.0
I've taken the Reports2.xsl default and edited it slightly.
I then edited the "XSL Body Template:" path in the console, pointing
it
to the new file (reports3.xsl) but I can not get Modus to send out new
reports using the edited template.
Even deleting the reports2.xsl file from the default location does not
make any difference.

As a last resort, I tried stopping all services, and restating them.
Still no change. The reports are using the original default template
which has now even been deleted from its original location.

What am I missing here?

Thanks,
