* This is the modus mailing list *

Greetings,

We have been running modus since version 1 in a "relay mode" only. Now that V3 is
out, and it has many of the features that we have been waiting for, we are starting
the migration of actual mailboxes, mailing lists, etc to M3. All has gone well with
our test (for the most part) with the exception of Mailing lists.

Firstly - Very disappointed in the Mailing List capabilities in M3. My old mail
server which hasn't been updated since 1998 is light years ahead of the mailing list
capabilities in M3. It will be sad to loose some of those features (automatic removal
upon bounced message from list, email verification, easy moderation via email or web,
etc). That being said...

The problem we can't seem to figure out at this point is the moderation of mailing
lists. In talking with Vircom today, they said we needed to point to a "moderate.dll"
file, and that email moderation wasn't in M3. Okay...while it's not very 'normal' to
point to a dll file for a web site, we tried it. We tried a host of things with this
^$%*(%# moderate.dll file, and get various errors (404, 500 mostly). No where in the
M3 manual does it even mention this moderate.dll file, nor how to install it, or what
permissions, etc, etc. I went and looked at the old VopMail manual, and it at least
mentioned it, but really didn't give any clues either.

There has to be more to this than what is in the old VopMail manual, or simply
pointing a web site to this moderate.dll file. Does this file need to go somewhere
special? Do you have to change anything in the IIS console for this 'site'? We see
there are some "template" files in the modus directory. Do these get used, if so
where/how?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.
