Hehe…That’s a good question.  I’ve had to deal with so many .Net issues, the solutions are all scrambled up in my head.  As a process of elimination, I’d try the username change anyway just to see if it helps.  Then change it back if it doesn’t.  I should normally give a more assured answer but right now It’s all a blur... I downloaded and tried to install .NET. I got an error saying it was already installed. The machine is not a DC. Del - were your instructions only for a DC or are they for a member server as well?

Is this machine a Domain Controller?

You may need to edit your machine.config file found at

C:\WINNT\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\CONFIG\machine.config

Find the line that says

    userName=”machine”

and change to

    userName=”SYSTEM”

I have Microsoft .Net under admin tools but don't see anything about ASP.NET. Same thing or am I missing something?

Do you have ASP.NET installed?

The settings section is the only part of Webmail that uses .NET

I'm on M3 and love it. I have a problem with the "Settings" tab in webmail. When I click it I get >

HTTP 405 - Resource not allowed
Internet Information Services

The rest of webmail works fine. I looked at the properties for that asp file and there was nothing restricting access. Any suggestions?
