Check the time your virus update last pulled an update.  Mine failed at 10:53am and the first message in my spool/spam folder is the same time.  >From this point on spool/spam is now piling up like everyone else.  We are experience Internet problems getting to the virus update site at Vircom.  I am running Modus Gate Version 2.1 (Build 268) and seems to be effected just like the folks running the latest version.  I don't want to over speculate but this seems very odd......
