Thanks for the reply John. So this is something you also see in your logs?

I believe all SMTP transactions end with the "aborted" thing

I think that is its way of saying it is done, over, fin, etc

Subject: [Modus] Logfile issue

* This is the modus mailing list *

Our Vopmail server appears to be running fine, with messages being
delivered
as they should be, but when I look in our logfiles, I am seeing hundreds
of
entries like this:

---- SMTPRS log entry made at 12/12/2003 09:23:35
Incoming SMTP call from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx at 09:23:26.
Message [EMAIL PROTECTED] received at 09:23:35 from MACHINE1
(unverified [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]).
Size: 2181 bytes
Return-path: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Recipients: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Incoming SMTP call from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx aborted at 09:23:35.

My concern is with the word "aborted" in the last line of the message.
Is
that anything to be concerned with? The mail is delivered to the
individual
specified in the recipients field just fine. The abort message appears
to
be happening with different domains, from different senders, so it is
not
connection specific.

Thanks in advance.

Kevin
