* This is the modus mailing list * actually, it happened to me this morning. when mail finally did come in, i got a ton of it. Interestingly, the first time OE checked mail everything connected fine but no mail came in. the second time [2 minutes later] all mail came in but slowly. other things worked fine, and i don't think i am having a problem with my connection to the internet. vince

We had a user who was having a terrible time getting his e-mail. It was pulling messages via POP3 very, very slowly even for a couple of K text only. He could duplicate this on other machines if he recreated the profile in Outlook Express. He was able to use WebMail with no problems. Kicker is, other users on his network were having no problems at all. We ended up deleting the mailbox and recreating it and everything is working fine now.
