That's part of the motivation.  The rest is the desire to have the
option to choose pure WSGI application development or a PHP-style
application where each file can stand individually as the main point
of entry for the application or a mixture of both.  It's sometimes
nice to have stand-alone tangible files acting both as a template and
application entry point similar to Karrigell's PIH script files.

And the good news is with so many great code examples available, and
the WSGI standards already in place, it should be relatively easy to
implement.
