I know this thread is approaching 2 years but I wanted to follow up and see
if this has gotten any thought. I have updated to the latest version of
mod_wsgi (currently: 4.6.4).

Recap: If I have virtualhost of <VirtualHost *> or <VirtualHost *:80> in my
configuration file then the error logging only logs error messages up to
the application module in the wsgi python file and the connection server /
request server match the host name of the server and not the virtual
environment.

My workaround of removing all the <VirtualHost *> and <VirtualHost *:80>
still works but I would like to have the option of keeping them in the
apache configuration file, if possible.
