Change the line and make a note in the diary to do it again in 20 years...
Or more, my 4/4 is nearly 40 years old and I've never changed my pressure
gauge line!

Although an electrical gauge won't leak in the passenger compartment, it can
still leak under the bonnet, and is not as accurate, or as quick reacting as
mechanical gauge.

I am though, a luddite!

Subject: [mogtalk2] Swapping mechanical oil pressure gauge to electrical
type

The oil line on my 4/4 cvh fractured at the weekend, some of you may have
seen my thread on TM. I would really like to avoid this happening again, and
so would like to decommission the oiler system and swap the mechanical tudor
oil gauge for an electric version.

There seems to be a decent choice of 52mm dials, which seem to come with a
sender. I would be grateful if anyone can recommend a specific device, I am
thinking that some brands may fit in the dash better than others.

Any pearls of wisdom regarding the job would also be appreciated. Some of
the articles I have found on the web seem to paint this as a moderately
simple undertaking.

Cheers

Simon
