Guilty John, that was me.

The odd capacity was due to the Lotus twin cam engine an interesting conversion, still be a good idea today.

Always enjoyed our Cornish jaunts be nice to look in on those venues once more, don't think the NT would be amused though if tried the old course.

Cheers,

Chas..

Still have the cup for FTD motorcycles for August 1973 the last August event held.I notice a certain C.J.Smith from Worcester April 1973 with a 1588cc Morgan .John Lees 1980 1600.----- Original Message ----- From: "Chas." <pekingtoparis...@aol.com>To: "mogtalk2" <mogta...@listbox.com>Sent: Tuesday, August 28, 2012 8:29 AMSubject: Re: [mogtalk2] Morgan sparesHi John.Yes, Trengwainton was one of them, used to go down on Bank Holidays, taking in both Trengwainton and Tregrehan near St.Austell.A good pub opposite the latter, good beer and pasties, The Brittania?A longish trip from Worcester in those days with no M5 motorway all theway down, having to negotiate Bristol before the bridge was built.Even longer one week end when, having blown up the engine in HWP stillwent down but in a mini van!Not in Cornwall but in Devon also enjoyed competing at Oddicombe, nearTorquay.Cheers,Chas..-----Original Message-----From: John Lees <j...@lees6542.fsnet.co.uk>To: mogtalk2 <mogta...@listbox.com>Sent: Mon, 27 Aug 2012 16:46Subject: Re: [mogtalk2] Morgan sparesTrengwainton ?John Lees----- Original Message ----- From: "Chas."<pekingtoparis...@aol.com>To: "mogtalk2" <mogta...@listbox.com>Sent:Tuesday, August 21, 2012 10:15 AMSubject: Re: [mogtalk2] MorgansparesAgree as long as on top or bottom tanks not core as more of aproblem. In the 70s found a leak on top tank seam, c 10,00 pm, workingSaturdaymorning then off to Cornwall to compete in the 2 hill climbmeetings. No solder to hand so drained some water out of the rad., wirebrushedthe area and filled with araldite.
