May I add another tip.
When parking a soft top always get your 'phone and take a photo of the
ticket on the car,could help if said ticket should "go walk about".

Not really on topic, but if you park somewhere that needs a ticket
displayed, write the car's registration number on it as a deterrent to
low lifes nicking it to cover their tin box.
