It must be 7 or 8 years since RUM`s radiator sprang a leak. Applied a dose
of sealant, not sure which but it has been watertight ever since, and that
includes a couple of France trips and numerous chases around Scotland and
fairly intense sessions at Alford.
What`s the betting it will start to leak now !
Kind regards

Hi Peter, Colin,
Thanks for getting back to me about the radiator. I have the front end of
the Mog up on ramps at the moment so I can see roughly where the leaking
coolant is coming from. For now I have just bought a bottle of K-Seal that
will hopefully allow me to keep the Mog on the road until the winter; we'll
see. K-Seal makes claims about once fixed with K-Seal it is permanent, I
guess I'm an old cynic, but again we'll see.
I looked on the Mulberry site and found the radiator I would need, very
impressive, almost makes you want one even if the present old one is still
OK!!
...but maybe not.
Thanks again,
Lawrence

Leaking radiators seem to be an ongoing thing with Morgan cars: I had to
repair once in my '90 plus 4 a leak around the top hose entry stub.; 4 times
in my 2000 plus 8 twice at drain-plug, once at top hose entry stub and once
at bottom hose entry stub then at the 5th leak I fitted a Mulberry alloy
unit which cured the problems of leaking and cooling. I know of several
other Mogs which have suffered from similar leaking problems and non are
driven over 'rough' ground in a competitive way.
My local Serck outlet were always very helpful with doing repairs, the only
pain was removing and refitting.
I always jack the front of my car either from both sides at once or
centrally to minimise any twist on the front of the chassis which gets
passed on to the radiator
mounts.
