I definitely prefer the look of mine with the top down, and indeed, entry and exit with top up are activities which I find impossible to achieve with any degree of elegance. I vastly prefer driving mine top down, there's no question about it, but when the weather's rubbish, better to drive it top up than not at all.
These days, I tend to only leave it at home when I'm having to carry large quantities of stuff that I can't fit into it, or when I have to drive long distances to client sites (it's not insured for class1 business use).
