But: [a-zA-Z0-9_.:-]
The dash must be last in the square brackets to be taken as a simple dash. Otherwise it defines range (here, from dot '.' to colon ':' ).

ok,
we need a special seperator char for the group seperator:
at the mon script: line 1020 : if ($l =~
/^hostgroup\s+([a-zA-Z0-9_.-]+)\s*(.*)/)
according to the regexp a-zA-Z0-9_.- can be used.
but we should add a special parameter for it or?
like the ":", then we could use the perl style: group1::group2::group3
... ;>

it doesnt work ... i cant find a another check or a kind of it.
