I agree, breaking users without a very good reason is a no-go. I'm just worried 
that those old scripts would break anyway when they expect a 2.0 profile and 
there suddenly isn't one anymore, so we might as well break with an obvious 
"gmcs not found" instead of harder-to-debug errors.
This obviously needs more discussion/investigation and that's exactly why I 
posted these proposals :)
