Mono provides at least some of the same binary names as MS because
they can be called directly by other programs, so it's a compatibility
issue, it has nothiing to do with blocking other projects.
The distributions are supposed to make it easy to install both packages
if they choose to include them or if you manage your own box, it's up to
you to use different prefixes or rename the binaries.
