Thats strange as I had my phone connected to my laptop via usb, it was connected to the network (the right one) the same as my laptop (though one was connected via wifi and the other ethernet) but still getting different IP's
It would be better if I could specify this in Monodevelop somewhere. At the moment still no joy, but I am not one to give in.....
