Literally five minutes after my last message, the .h file showed up for the
xib I had been struggling with!
I succeeded in getting a second one to work. Here is what I am doing. I'm
not sure if it is all necessary, but it works for me.
1. I add UIViewController as the parent class in the designer.cs
declaration for the xib.
2. I build.
3. I rewrite the designer.cs to change it from Xcode 3 structure (with
the __mt* declarations) to Xcode 4 (i.e. simple attribute declarations with
the [Outlet] attribute). I use a new xib that works correctly with Xcode 4
to be sure I've kept all the necessary declaration. Tedious, but nowhere
near as tedious as having to rewrite the xibs from scratch.
4. I build again.
5. I exit MT.
6. I make sure Xcode is not running.
7. I re-enter MT; now, when I go to edit the xib in Xcode 4, all is well.
YMMV, but I'm back to work!
