No, they are just subclassing UIViewController... but they are also
supporting a bunch of custom *interfaces*, might that be confusing things?
As a matter of fact, I realize now that they were already subclassing
UIViewController; but the directive was in the partial definition in the
*.xib.cs file. Adding it to *.designer.xib.cs shouldn't make any
difference.
Now, on my third xib, my magical steps don't work. I've done all the steps
below, and still no *.h files for this one. Comparing this third one to the
second one, the designer.cs files look almost exactly the same. And yet one
works and one doesn't. Hm.
