Wow!! I was THERE, folks!!
What a concert! It was in the FULL New Orleans Superdome-- not
the "concert" configuration that dwarfs the whole!
A little-known group called Van Halen opened. Amongst forgotten
others were the Doobie Brothers.
And when the Stones finally hit the stage, management threw up
on the Electric Crawl the official total of people who were in the
building-- over 91,000!!!! The largest (at least then and I think,
still) indoor crowd tallied in history!
Oh, it was fabulous!!!
I can still smell the.....coffee! A huge cloud of it floating
in the upper regions!
Ah, nostalgia!
And you kiddies thought the era was "quaint." Quaint, my ass!
Now, THAT was Rock-and-Roll !!!
Joe Bonelli
PS-- Thanks, Dario, for the nostalgia trip!
Hello
Mopoer's.
Yes that's right, Rare! ... I've only seen one of these sell before
..... a few years ago for more than double what I am asking of it.
Approx. 22x36 on linen .... no restoration .... showing some border
staining and a small piece of missing paper in the bottom border, there
is some very minor creasing throughout
the poster that appear to have been touch up, and a few minor border
tears.
The Rolling Stones 1978 World Tour Consert poster ...
Art Work By Andy Warhol ..... 500.00 OBO.
