I totally disagree with you about the internet.  Did Heritage have great posters?  Yes.  Do they always have great posters and run a fine auction in whatever city they choose?  Yes.  However, no matter what you say, the internet made this hobby much larger, created more collectors, allowed more people to see what a great hobby this is and allows people to bid wherever they are.

The internet has been a boon to large and small collectors alike and there is nothing like ebay bidding.  This allows everyone to bid at the same time, place proxy bids in advance and is very simple to use and understand.  Bruce's auctions are right on the money.  What you bid is, is what you pay if you win.  No buyer's premiums, excellent images, same closing times for everyone and no confusing bidding interlaced with internet bids first with 15% added, no ebay bids with 20% added, no internet bidding ending 24 hours before live bidding, no confusing telephone bidding leaving some people frustrated that they were not able to get their calls in.  I could go on and on but let's call a spade a spade.  All people desire is an equal and reasonably fair opportunity to bid on posters.  Ebay offers the right answers for the great majority.

You can't speak about poster conservation, images, etc. over and over again.  Mopo represents topics of the day.  Most serious poster collectors like myself, who have collections worth far more money than most collectors will see in a lifetime, do not speak about their collections.  There are a few posters I want and I cannot afford to publicize them because the prices will go through the moon.    Just because I don't speak about my collection does not mean I am not interested in what is going on in the hobby.  There are many out there like me.

I am not a "little boy" on mopo who is afraid to speak about this subject.  I think your words were poorly chosen and were derogatory to many mopo members.  In addition, were it not for the internet, there would be no mopo.
