A clever rejoinder but it does disservice to those who are
genuinely involved in restoration. Folks who collect paper should
EDUCATE themselves on restoration. Learn to identify it. Learn to
understand the nuances of restoration and to apply those nuances
to their own value set.
To just glom all restoration into a "fooling someone else" is
insulting to those who are really interested in saving a rare
piece, be they restorers or cutomers..
Or should we not attempt any retsorative measures on those rarely
found pieces and dump them in the trash?
