I have often said that people try to take advantage of non-dealers, such as
me, when we post Want Lists. Usually, the scenario is offering a
re-issue poster for more money than the original would cost at sotherby's.
I have received nice emails through the years of people
commenting about the items in Want Lists, but look at the following
stupid email(s) that I received, (and i will block out the persons name and
phone number):

unbacked. I also have several great Disney shorts from the 40's

since you were not planning on selling it, i suggest that you keep

He first told me he had it, and then, I suppose, he expected me to beg
and ask to pay an amount in the stratosphere. His original email tried to
hold the proverbial carrot. YOU JUDGE THE FACTS of holding the proverbial
carrot.
By the way, I have an insert for WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION.
I wasn't planning on selling it, but I would consider
1,000.00-2,000.00.
