It's a rare remake that is better than the original. The BAD: "The Preacher's Wife" (1996), the horrible remake of "The Bishop's Wife" (1947). Whitney Houston vs.. Loretta Young? No contest.   Second example: The 2001 version of "Sweet November" (Keanu Reeves/Charlize Theron) has none of the heart of the original with Sandy Dennis and Anthony Newley made in 1968.   A good, or at least decent remake?
