I have to absolutely echo what Todd is saying here.
Just because someone says that they are a restorer
doesn't mean that they should be trusted with
expensive and/or rare posters. Restorers should
be fully insured and should have otherwise earned people's trust.

Brek,

I feel very bad for you and I completely empathize with your heightened frustration in this matter but what I don't understand is how someone can trust thousands of dollars worth of posters with a restorer who doesn't have
a proven track record.

I'm not just talking about you as there have been many other collectors which have lost a lot of hard earned money to several different "fly by night" restorers over the years. I don't like seeing anyone ripped off and I hope you get this resolved in a timely fashion, but next time, try using of the restorers who have been around for years. Your less likely to have
these problems.

Good luck.

Best,

Hi David,

I have had only a couple of responses as well. I sent six valuable posters for linen backing via winning MBP auction. I was told by Frank via email about 3 weeks after an email that he had received them, but had yet to
review what needs to be done. Again the health issue was the limiting
factor. He said he had just got out of the hospital and was going to be
back
in the workshop within a week. That was over a month ago and no more
response. I hope all is well, but the no response is very concerning. It doesn't leave me with allot of confidence in MPB vrs. Ebay. I have had thousands of buys and sells on eBay with no problem. I was banking on the MPB reputation based on how much it had been hyped on MOPO. Now I am out
the
money spent (over $200) as well as $1000's of dollars worth of posters
that
I don't know if I will get back. At least with eBay I could find if the
seller was still viable or active and could have at least had a track
record
before sending off my posters. I think MPB ought to step in and find out what is going on and how we can get our posters done and back or get the posters and money back. I no longer have confidence to bid on MBP unless
this is resolved.

Thanks,
Brek

David:
this is a MoPoer's nightmare. i wish i could help you but I don't have any more info about these people than you do. all I know is that I have bought
things from them in the past, and have communicated with them by
e-mail...always with positive results. As a matter of fact, i was going to
do just what you did when i saw their offer on MoviePosterBid .com
i hope this incident ends well for you...and for them.

To all mopo'rs

The last thing I want to do is bring this public. I have been extremely
patient as I have been told Frank Santos has been having health
problems.
I do
not know him personally but I am not heartless and I can understand what
he is
going through. I have been trying to get this straightened out on my own
now
for over two weeks with no luck.

I have not heard from them. I have sent numerous emails that have not
been
responded to. I use AOL, and they do too so I'm sure they are receiving
my
emails. It has been over a month and all I received was a brief email
with

very
little info.. And that was over a week ago.

I have sent them three very valuable posters for linen backing. I won a
linen backing auction from them on movie poster bid.

I need one of them back desperately for a client.

I have asked him repeatedly through email for a phone number, no
response.

Why would he refuse to give me a phone number?

I finally tracked down a phone number. I have called it for 3 days now
and
it is a constant busy signal.

In my book, non communication with clients is just plain inexcusable.

I hate to assume the worst and I really hope he is ok and there is a
logical
explanation.

If anybody has any way of contacting him please let me know.

Thanks,

David Lieberman
