reissues are still just that....not from original runs... plus, some
of the later reissue posters from such films as GWTW, or OZ contain
terrible artwork, bad photos, or the infamous "floating head"
technique, where actors faces, alone, are among the tiltes, artwork,
etc. i saw one OZ reissue, and the photo of judy garland was a shot
of her at least 5-10 years OLDER. makes no sense. the reissue art
also seems to lack, as well.
just my thoughts..

YOU KNOW IT IS A GREAT TITLE WHEN THE REISSUES COST A LOT.
Wizard of Oz, Gone with the Wind, and some hitchcock come to mind.
A year ago, a purchased a mint CASABLANCA reissue. i hated it!!!!
couldn't look at without thinking it was a reissue. resold it on
ebay, and made about 30.00
However, i do own the Rebecca half sheet reissue of 1948. I bought
it in the first batch of posters i acquired, 20+ years ago.
Probably ripped off at the time----i paid $40.00. I have seen it
sell for 350+. (this is the EARLIER reissue).
So many of my originals have their reissue counterparts going for
nice bucks--
And so many reissues look better than the original!!!
Presently on ebay, there are about 3 reissues of posters of which i
want the originals. but, i will still wait.
THOUGHTS ??????????????????
