very well Put....
also Greg Eggbert and I have had some converstaions that would make a
Hooker blush!
see.... a bit about Greg,,, Ive never met him face to face... but we
would get into hissy fits because i wouldnt send him posters without
payment and he wouldndnt send money without posters,,
se we have a love/hate relationship... also.. he can be the biggest
potty mouth iveever known and he Burps in the phone is cranky and is
discusting when speaking to me.... However.... a bit about him
his father was like president of studebaker cars and he has made lots of
oney.. he once was pissed as he took a shower and lost 50K because he
was late making a trade....
he has a obbsession buying posters why... i dont know.. but he would
want to buy all i had to dominate the market...
I would say i have 300 he would say cmon you have 400 I want them
all...... anyways we have a strained relationship..
But hers the cute part,,,, he has a parrot,, that told me ha has a
heart,,,, and one day when i disclosed i had diabettes he actually
called me and offered health advise as i gues he has it too.. so he
showed commpassion...
the lesson is we all make mistakes.. do some incredible goofs,, and are
all works in progress... if we see our brothers stumble it sure would
be nice to help them not condemn them.....
wheni look at most people that hurt its because They were hurt and need
to seek compensation thru hurting... yet it always comes back to the
ones that try to hurt.... like a boom arang..
Like they say no mans a island,, and quite frankly as I write this.. I
have no idea where ill be living 30 days from now as ive ended my lease
and havent commited to anything...
Ironically now my ex wants to sell me my building back as she found out
the man she loved was married.. and she had kicked me out because they
were to use the building as investment after telling me i could buy it
back monthe earlier.. also she had a secong BF and hes now sick...and
frail... and not sure he wants to live with her,,, so count your
blessings because things can get worse,,,,,,
I had a idea once to have all Music booking agents in area merge. and
form one big agency.. well they did and drove by waveing in a car as
they formed the largest agency and i wasnt invited-( and it was my idea.
this was like1976..)
well........ out of the 3 - 1 commited suicide.. and 1 was in the paper
today..- dead.(unknown). and i have no idea wher the otherone went...
Point is.... me... Im still here alive.... nuts... but alive..... what
point im trying to make i dont know..... lets just agree shit
happens...so never assume nothing..
It aint over until the fat lady sings,,,?????
good wishes to all.

Hi, Everyone,
Just thought I might add my two cents if anyone out there wants to
hear. I've done business with Greg Egbert over the past 15 years and
have never had reason to question his scruples. Just a week ago or
do, I went onto David L.'s website and discovered quite a few 60's and
early 70's one sheets that were rolled in mint condition with no stamp
of the films title, etc on the back of the poster, being sold at ultra
high prices. I made a statement that having so many of these rolled
one sheets (from a time before the practice was to roll one sheets)
seemed a bit strange at best. I mentioned it to a couple of
old-school dealer friends of mine and they agreed with my
trepidation. Hey, I have at least 30 rolled Star Wars Style C one
sheets that were sold to me 12 years ago or so---the guy who sold them
to me said they were printed from the same plates as the original in
1979 or 1980. They're all still rolled in a tube--stored
away---because frankly, I don't know what to do with them. If I chose
to do so, I could say that they were given to me by an exec at Fox or
a guy who was in charge of printing the posters---saying he grabbed
them before they went through the folding process.
In effect, I could create a different reality and probably sell them
for 4 or 5 hundred bucks each. But instead, they remain rolled in
that tube----and that's where they'll stay.
Greg Egbert has probably been in this hobby a lot longer than
David Lieberman has. To tell you the truth, I'm not a big fan of
people who fink on, rat out---whatever you want to call it---other
people unless there might be a pattern of unscrupulous behavior where
a warning is truly warranted. Tell me, how do I know FOR CERTAIN that
David's story about acquiring those 60's rolled one sheets is 100%
accurate. Who knows--maybe he's just better at keeping quiet that
Greg Egbert. Like I said, for 15 years I've never had a problem with
Greg. It just seems awfully strange to me that the person
who announces to ALL of MoPo something Greg told him---that maybe he
was never going to act upon anyway--who knows---is the same person
that I believe deserves to be under scrutiny for his own somewhat
questionable inventory. With posters any of us have acquired, we can
very easily create our own reality and those who want to believe, will
believe. Hell, I'm sure I could find LOTS of believers if I created a
new reality about those Star Wars Style C one sheets.
I think some of us would be better off not worrying about the splinter
that's in another MoPo'ers eye because there very well might be a log
in our own.
